Invoice Fields:
Business
You need to have a business profile to make invoices. You can make more than one business profile for your account.
Template
Choose one of our premade templates to add some color to your invoices.
Invoice Date
This is the creation date for your invoices. If you want to assign a date in the future or the past, that's OK.
Make this invoice public?
If you make your invoice public, we'll give you a link to send to your customer so they can view the invoice online. No need to save .pdf's or print anything.
Bill To
This is the address of your customer. You can just put their name, or you can fill it in with complete contact information.
Ship To
Are you shipping a product? You can add a shipping address if you need to.
Currency
You can choose different currency types for your invoice.
Reference
You can fill this in with an internal reference number, let us generate a reference for you, or just leave it blank.
PO Number
Sometimes businesses need to list a purchase order number on their invoices. You can do that in the PO Number box or just leave it blank.
Terms
If you need to assign payment terms like "Due on receipt" or "Net 30 Days" you can do that in the Terms box. Otherwise, just leave it blank.
Due Date
You can assign a due date for your customer or just leave it blank.
Qty (Quantity)
You can assign quantities to the items in your invoice if you need. Whether you're billing for 10 hours of work or 100 widgets shipped, you can put it in the Qty field and we'll use it to calculate your total for you. It's OK to leave this one blank if you need.
Description
Each line item can have a description. Describe the item you're selling here. You can leave it blank if you don't want a description.
Price
This is your price per unit. We'll multiply the number of units by the quantity to get a total for each line item, and then we'll add all the lines together to calculate the total.
Tax
If you need to charge any kind of tax, you can put it here. It's OK to have different tax amounts for different items.
Apply Credit
If your customer has a credit with you, type it in here. We'll subtract it from the total at the end.
Apply Payment
If your customer has already made a payment you can enter it here. We'll take it off of the total so your customer can see how much they owe.
Message
You can write any kind of message to your customer and we'll add it to the bottom of your invoice. Whether it's a simple "thank you" or detailed payment instructions, you can put it here.
